As an End of Life Doula, I am here to support you emotionally, spiritually, and physically through your final stages of life.
How It Works
I work directly with the dying person, whether we begin months before the expected end of life, or only in preparation for vigil.
I offer a variety of services — you choose the ones that interest you and feel helpful at any stage of your journey.
You can book services individually or as packages.
Many sessions can be conducted remotely over video calls. For in-person services (including sitting vigil), I work in the Upstate NY area.
Reach Out
You’ve found out you’re terminally ill, transitioning from palliative to hospice care. We have a call to meet, and you’ll fill out an intake form to begin our work together. Then we make a plan to ensure you have the spiritual & emotional support you need for your transition as well as plan your death, services and vigil.
Processing + Support
I am here to hold space for you — whether that’s via virtual video call or in-person sessions. We can talk through anything you’re experiencing, we can work to find peace and closure in your life, and weave in energy work, whatever may need to feel supported.
Preparation
We ensure you have your loose ends in order by establishing an Advanced Care Directive so your doctors, caregivers, and family know what you do (and don’t) want to happen. We can create a personal legacy project for you to share with loved ones to leave behind.
Through my training with different lineages of holistic healing, we will prepare from a spiritual and emotional aspect, helping you to find peace
We will define your vision of a “good death” and plan your vigil & last days:
Who do you want in the space? (individuals, groups)
How should the space feel?
Things people should do or say
What should happen immediately after death
Vigil
Based on our plans, I am available to come and offer respite care (to caregivers) and sit vigil with you during your final days.
Reprocessing
4-5 weeks after the death, we can meet again for a reprocessing group session with anyone who sat vigil or was present for your passing. After this, the relationship with me as a doula ends. For further grief needs, I am happy to provide resources for local counselors.
